A Small but Fruitful Harvest – September 27th, 2014
Our September 27th harvest was a little bit different than previous years. Due to a record cold winter we suffered an 80-90% reduction in our grape harvest for 2014, delivering only 898 pounds to our winery. This resulted in only a gross income of $630. Of which we will donate our charities.
The good news was that we could not have asked for a better day! We were done by 1 pm, leaving plenty of time for a great afternoon and evening of fun, food, wine, and
games; including a heated volleyball match. All in all, we had a great time – click here to check out some pictures!
Unfortunately, one of our 3 Charities – NIP, is having management difficulties to that end we have decided to donate the $630 to our other 2 only. When we receive the receipts of these donations we will be sure to post them in our financial section and send out a short news notice to be sure everyone is aware.
Again, thanks to everyone for making us successful, and thereby helping to improve the lives of so many through our charities!
Peace and Love,
The Board of Lost Creek Hippies Vineyard
