Its official! We are picking grapes on October 3rd.
Our grapes are ripening nicely, as such we can announce that our fall harvest event will be Saturday, October 3rd. We will start work at 11:00 A.M., expecting things to go very quickly. Our vines ( about 850 Marquette and 250 Prairie Star will be producing grapes this year ) and are doing very well. Our Marquette harvest quantity will be in the 6,000 pound range, much better than last year’s 898 pounds.
We will have a fun time, both picking and afterward. We want to be done by 3 pm or so. We will, however, definitely be setting up our net for playing volleyball, and will have a few other yard games set up, including my favorite, Bocce Ball. Dinner and the fun will start after the grapes are picked, and we expect that we’ll try to get all together for a quick picture, then down to dinner, drinks, and fun.
Please watch the weather and dress accordingly, as we pick rain or shine. If you have specific questions or need directions, just give me a call/text at 763-354-0880.
We do need to know how many are coming, for food/beverage planning, so a quick email back to our website, or call/text to me would be great.
Our 3 charities are doing their great work, due in no small part, to our contributions, which would not be possible without your help.
Thanks again for making this “Charitable Vineyard” concept of our work so well, and all the fun is a great bonus!
