An Update From The Vineyard

We have had one exciting Spring and Summer! After a very warm Spring, with early budding followed by the April freeze and loss of many of our plants and vines, we have good news: Almost all of our 750 2007 – 2009 vines survived, and our crop is outstanding. Our clusters are ripening early, have achieved full “Veraison”, and have a current “brix”, or sugar level of 17%. This means that our harvest will also be much earlier. We are estimating September 15, which is a Saturday. We will inform you of a firm date as soon as we can. We will start at noon, and plan to finish by 4pm, followed by dinner and a harvest celebration! We hope to see all who can make it, as the great enjoyment of the harvest and dinner is the socializing and fun times all day long, and into the evening. We look forward to that so much, and hope to see you there!
