Final Planting at Lost Creek Hippies Vineyard!

Our final planting of Lost Creek Hippies Vineyard was on Saturday May 31. Thanks to 30 outstanding volunteers this final planting was entirely successful. We gently planted 320 Prairie Star vines, thus completing our vineyard. We now have approximately 1100 Marquette and 570 Prairie Star vines! They will grow and mature slowly and gradually over the next several years. Within four years all of them will be productive, and contributing to our charities.

We had a great time – beginning about 11 AM and finishing up by 2 PM or so. We got as many people together as we could for a picture, had a great time socializing, with lunch, wine, beer, and other beverages, complete with outstanding music played by Herb, Connie, and Dan.

This was truly an exciting and enjoyable experience for ourselves and we hope all of our volunteers. What great music and singing! Hopefully we can get them back this fall, roughly late September or early October, to play at our harvest event.

We are currently getting together the pictures taken during the planting at this time and will post them to our pictures section within the next couple of weeks.

We have also contributed $10 per each volunteer to each of our three charities, so that you will know that your hard work is already creating a better world for our local Minneapolis, Minnesota, and International community.

As we have stated so many times before, we believe that we are all connected in this world, and that when one of her neighbors does better in any of our communities, it makes us better and more whole.

This is our mission: Good people, helping great charities, and having a lot of fun doing it.
