Its That Time of Year! Upcoming Fall Harvest

Our grapes are ripening nicely, we can announce that our fall harvest event will be Saturday, September 27. We will start at 11:00 A.M. and expect things to go very quickly. Our vines (and almost every vineyard in Minnesota and Wisconsin) suffered significant damage to the “primary buds” due to the very cold Winter and Spring. The vines will do OK in the future, but the “secondary buds” are not as fruitful. Our harvest quantity will be in the 3,000 pound range, this compared to last year’s 5,000 pounds.

We will have a fun time, and hope that we have music during our dinner afterward, we will see if that wonderful group can return! We will, however, definitely be setting up our net for playing volleyball, as a eclectic group of pickers are volleyball players! Dinner and the fun will start after the grapes are picked, and we expect that to be about 2-3 pm. We’ll try to get all together for a quick picture, then down to dinner, drinks, and fun.

Please watch the weather and dress accordingly, as we pick rain or shine (it rained last year, so it can’t do that twice in a row, right ?). If you have specific questions or need directions, just give me a call/text at 763-354-0880.

We do need to know how many are coming, for food/beverage planning, so a quick email back to our website, or call/text to me would be great.

Our 3 charities are doing their great work, due in no small part, to our contributions, which would not be possible without your help. Thanks again for making this “Charitable Vineyard” concept of our work so well, and all the fun is a great bonus!
