The fall 2012 harvest was a success!

With the help of 28 volunteers and Board Members, we harvested 4,177 pounds of beautiful and delicious Marquette (even after what we all ate!) last Saturday, September 8. The weather was outstanding. We started pulling netting off at 9am, and picking by noon. We finished at 3:45, had a group picture (everybody had to endure a “speech” about what a great thing we are all doing, and how our communities will benefit from our contributions, until they could take no more, and we took the group picture!)

Our net income from sale of our grapes, less operating expenses, was $1,123.90, so that we were able to send $375.00 to each of our 3 outstanding charities. Note the receipts for these contributions are now posted in our Financial section.

We then had another outstanding dinner, with many interesting wines ( including our Altered States Apple), and great conversations… an evening bonfire was perfect, with our temperature of about 55F.
We are totalling up our operating expenses, and expect to be making our contributions within 1 week. Expect to see our posted receipts in our Financial section by October 1.

Again, we, the Board of Lost Creek Hiippies Vineyard, know what an effort your volunteer help is on your part, and want you to know that we thank you from our hearts. Each of our 3 charities make real and substantial improvements in the lives of our local, national, and international communities, and your volunteer work and our resultant contributions help to make all of this happen. Our world is better because of US!

Thanks to ALL for a great 2012!

Peace and Charity,

Jim and Linda
