Spring 2026 Update from Lost Creek Hippies Vineyard

Spring is once again in the air at Lost Creek Hippies Vineyard. While we currently have 18 inches of fresh snow on the ground, we expect it to melt soon, allowing us to begin pruning our apple trees in the coming weeks.

Our orchard continues to grow—we now have 33 trees, with four currently producing apples. This year, we will be planting two crabapple trees to support pollination for our newer Honeycrisp trees.

Last fall, we were fortunate to harvest approximately 1,200 apples from our McIntosh trees. We were proud to donate this crop to the Pepin School District for a community event in October.

We’re also pleased to report that our deer-exclusion fencing is now working effectively, protecting our trees from rabbits, raccoons, and other wildlife that have damaged previous plantings.

11th Annual Fundraising Event

We are excited to invite you to our 11th Annual Fun(d)raising Party, taking place on Saturday, September 12, beginning at 1:00 PM.

This event promises an enjoyable afternoon of community, games, and entertainment. Highlights include:

  • Cornhole and other outdoor activities
  • A variety of beverages, including our Altered States Apple Wine
  • A selection of appetizers, dips, and shared dishes
  • Live music (details to be announced)
  • A delicious dinner for all attendees

In past years, we’ve enjoyed incredible performances from talented musicians, and we look forward to another memorable experience this year.

Supporting Our Charities

As part of our continued commitment, every guest who makes a donation—of any amount—to one or more of our three supported charities will receive a bottle of our Altered States Apple Wine as a token of appreciation.

Additionally, we will continue our tradition of matching all donations 1:1, amplifying the impact of your generosity.  See our Financial Donations!

We carefully review each of the organizations we support and are proud to partner with the following:

  • Hope Coalition
Providing advocacy and essential resources for women and children in need, including access to safe housing, childcare, healthcare, and employment support—helping build a future of stability and success.
  • Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota
Assisting individuals and families in achieving affordable homeownership, creating stronger, more stable communities for everyone.
  • Central Asia Institute
Empowering girls and women in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan through education and vocational training, fostering long-term positive change within their communities.

Our Mission

We host these events because we believe in giving back and making a meaningful difference. We are grateful for the opportunities we’ve been given and are committed to supporting others—locally and globally—on their journey toward safety, health, and prosperity.

At the heart of our mission is a belief in our shared humanity. We are inspired by the message of One Human Family, whose guiding principles remind us:

Like fingers on a hand,
We are all different and unique.
We are all of equal value.
We are all created to work together.
And although we appear separate,
We are connected and part of one another.
